Barbara B. Barnett Age 62 of Wilmington, DE died unexpectedly on Sunday, April 29, 2001 at the Christiana Hospital. Formerly of Knoxville, TN and Dallas, TX she moved to Wilmington to be close to her family.
Barbara was an accomplished artist winning numerous awards. She worked at the University of Delaware in the Academic and Professional Development Center in the college of Business and economics and was a valued member of Grace United Methodist Church. She enjoyed spending time with her family, eating out and going to the movies. She was always spreading joy with her wonderful sense of humor.
She is preceded in death by her husband, James M. Barnett in 1983. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Laura B. Takemoto, husband, Wayne; and grandchildren, Cara and Ethan of Wilmington; her son, Robert M. Barnett wife, Melissa; and grandson, James Thomas of Fresno, CA; her brother, Robert E. Barger and his wife Lisa of Charlotte, NC. She leaves behind many friends and acquaintances who cherish her memories.
Relatives and friends are welcome to attend funeral services at Grace United Methodist Church on Friday, May 4 at 10 am. Interment will follow in Silverbrook Cemetery.
